Advent's Call Committee

On May 17, 2026 Advent’s Congregational Council unanimously voted to form a Call Committee to search for a full time, seasoned pastor, who can come alongside Pastor Elizabeth as we live out our mission and vision.

Committee members are Chris Hein, Mike Johnson, Troy Cardinal, Tom Mayfield, Scott Tiesma, Mandy Anderson, Anne Strootman, and Pastor Elizabeth Felt. The Call Committee met on Monday, June 1 and is moving forward with an active and hopeful approach to the pastoral call process.

We are hoping to begin interviewing candidates soon. We are working closely with the Synod throughout each step. To maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the process, we are unable to share specific details about candidates. We are happy to answer questions about the process and would welcome a chance to talk with you if you would like to learn more. We ask for your continued prayers for the committee, the candidates, and for God's guidance as we discern the right pastoral leader for our congregation.
